Journalism is not just snooping around

The shutter of a camera was heard followed by a " Someones being naughty." Eleanor sat hidden in a tree, a disposable camera in her hands , her eyes trained on a man sliding a manila envelope over to another more dangerous looking man. She didn't know who either were, yet. All she knew so far was that they were bad news, but that made it much more fun. I took out a small notepad from my backpocket, pulled a pen out of the messy curls I called hair and jotted down some facts about both men.

As I was scribbling down notes on the two men out of the corner of my eyes I spotted an interesting looking woman. I shot a glance to the two men and shrugged my shoulders. I could get back on them later. When the woman was a safe distace away I dropped down from the tree and quietly followed behind her. I took a couple of pictures along the way with my digital camera just in case I got lost though it was highly unlikely. I stopped at a corner and peeked past it to where she stood, snapping a quick picture.

I looked over the building a couple of times, trying to decide if it was worth going in and probably getting caught. 'Yeah. What could go wrong. ' I put my digital camera back into my bag and quietly entered the building. I looked around a bit, quickly getting bored with the first floor and heading up the stairs. I walked into a room where light was coming from before quickly backtraking and leaning against the wall next to the door. Luckily the ladys back had been to me or I would've been screwed.

I quietly dug around my bag and pulled out my digital camera. I quickly peeked past the corner and snapped a picture. She had to be around her late twenties to early thirties. She also seemed to be doing something with chemicals so she had some form of education proper or not.

Peeking over the corner once more I stayed put seeing as her back was still turned to me. She seemed to be doing some stuff with the chemicals she had used before. Maybe she was a drug maker? It would explain the hidden location. I snapped another picture and his behind the corner again, pulling out my notebook and jotting down a couple of lines on the woman.

Overhearing her say something I jotted it down in shorthand and put my note book away, sticking my pen back in the wild curls of my hair. Well she seemed to be some form of scientist and was destroying or testing bacteria so that was interesting. Not much of a scoop but it would do. Infroze hearing footsteps way to close for comfort and I stuck to the wall, not making a sound.

My heart almost lept out of my chest when she passed by me but I calmed down seeing as she wasnt yelling or anything. So, I followed behind her, looking behind me at the colorful beackers before turning my attention back to her. " Names Eleanor Jude. " I said plainly, somewhat staring over her shoulder at what she was doing.

I took out my notebook on instinct and wrote down her name at the top of the page with all the other information on it. I set my notebook on the corner of the table and took out my camera. " I'm not sneacking around. I'm looking for a scoop. " I replied, snapping a pick of what she was doing.

I snapped a picture of the melted tongs and then her face. This was pretty cool. A good soft article would be good to have incase I ran out of good stuff some day. " So what exactly do you do , Miss Curie?" I asked, turning around and snapping a picture of the room.

I snapped a picture of tue bird and the computer before jotting down what she had said. I smiled a bit and leanex against one of the tables. " A conduit eh? So what exactly do your powers pertain?" Iasked, lightly tapping a beacker with the tip of my pen only to take a step away as the contents started bubbling.

I jotted all that down and followed behimd her over to the bird. " So, could you communicate with a vacuum cleaner?" I asked, leaning down a bit to get a better look at the bird. This was gettimg better by the minute.

A small smile made its way onto the corners of my lips at her answer. I dug around my hair and pulled out another pen since my first one ran out. " What about an electric can opener?" I asked, following behind her without hesitation and jotting down some more information.

I pursed my lips and twirled my pen inbetween my fingers. " What would a computer even say?" I asked, peeking over her shoulder at some blueprints. I snapped a picture and added 'blueprint owner to my info on her.
