The Agent Arrives

((I know it's Binary. I was just having Thomas' POV be all 'what is this dude's power?', you know?))

"Agent War," Riggs said. "Your presence was unexpected. And due to your retirement from the FBI in favor of..." he looked at Thomas, an expression of mild distrust and distaste touched his expression. "Other people, The reasoning behind my presence is beyond your paygrade." Suddenly Thomas was on him, pinning the government agent to the wall, a ball of sonic energy in his fist. His expression was very calm. "Agent Riggs," Thomas said, his voice a deadly pale calm. "War has been a valuable asset to the Spartans. She has been a support in countless battles against Drowning Doom and Templars where YOU and YOUR government never even lifted a finger. I suggest you watch your tone, and recognize that around here, even some Juniors are able to pull rank on you. You have no authority here unless Cregnix says otherwise. Understood, mereth en draugrim?" Riggs had no clue what a... whatever he said was, but it was obviously derogatory. In the meantime, Riggs extended a hand, and binary power filled his hands as a pistol began to materialize....

Riggs did not comply with the sunglasses removal, but he decided, being pinned by a former agent and a conduit, it was wise to comply. Remaining silent, he awaited Cregnix, the de facto leader of the Spartans. "If I might inquire," he said, "what authority do you have..." what words he was trying to say died in his throat as he no longer heard them. Looking at Thomas, he observed the conduit had put his fingers to his lips, and that Riggs could not make an audible sound with his mouth. "Your silence is appreciated, Agent," Thomas said, his voice holding an edge. "I do not speak for the spartans when I say this, but I do not trust you, you or the government that abandoned us when we were at our darkest hour. You are here to monitor us, I would bet, to monitor and determine wether or not a group of Conduits who saved an entire city are a threat to national security. I ask you to show me the logic in this." Agent Riggs merely glared at him, his eyes underneath his sunglasses beginning to glow slightly as he 'called on the Matrix', ready to throw the guy across the room.

Jason Cregnix:
The distinct whine of Iron Man armored jets could be heard as a red-and-orange figure jettisoned from up above, finally with a metallic clang as the figure hit the ground. The figure drew itself to it's full height, it was a full suit of Mark 42 Iron-Man armor. The armor disassembled and jettisoned parts of itself off, revealing a rather handsome man somewhere in his twenties. In the years since the Opehlia conflict, Jason had grown a goatee, and in general allowed his hair to grow longer. He wore a business suit often rather than his comfortable t-shirts and jeans, as the C-Tech board often called him at random, and they generally didn't like him sprinting in wearing an AC/DC t-shirt smeared with grease.
"Come on now Thomas. Didn't we have a talk about NOT almost savagely murdering Government Officials? Well, at least unless I say so." Cregnix said, flashing one of the business smiles that got him quite far with the C-Tech board.
"So, Agent Riggs I presume? Quite an agent, I've read your file, you're good. And a conduit! Surprised to see a conduit hating government hiring people like you! But, anyways what could our glorious government, who abandoned us in our darkest hour, and then conveniently came in just as the city stopped being a hellhole, want?"
Jason, in his head cringed at the run-on sentence, but generally didn't care.

Jason Cregnix:
Jason grinned. The INFINITY girl was good at playing. Granted, she often had to butt in at awkward times. Jason spoke into the cuff of his suit, where a pin-hole microphone rested.
"Computer, lower Sound Stage one volume." He commanded. The noise from Saruka's singing faded, but given how loudly she sang to herself, he doubted she would notice.
"Mr.Riggs, I understand your concern. You're afraid of the people who saved the city from an army of shadow, sorrow creatures and then re-built the city to the height of it's glory, and now hold an Empire Festival every year." Jason paused in though for a moment, "Speaking of that, Thomas, it's gonna be BIG this year. You and everybody else has gotta be out on the town for it((OOC: FORESHADOWING FOR MAIN PLOT))." 
Jason returned his attention to Riggs.
"Agent, I don't trust you people at all. You let our city go to hell while you people lounged back in comfy chairs and we waged a war of our own down here. Now that it's nice and fancy, and up to your standards, you only now realize biological threats exist? Either way, I don't trust you in this building. With your powers you could access a few lists of names nobody but me or the council can see." The list Jason referred to was a list of any and conduits known to the Spartans, and potentially dangerous humans.

 Thomas looked at Jason. "Why do I need to be out of town for it though?"

Riggs looked at the "Spartan" leader. "I'm not here on your authority." He said bluntly. Looking at Thomas, he gave a dark look. "And I could care less what you and your little council think. If I wanted your information, I could take it, right now." he finished, his eyes starting to give off a slight glow, almost imperceptible underneath his sunglasses

All of a sudden, Thomas was thrown at Cregnix, Riggs returning to a passive, still, standing position, almost peaceful... if it wasn't for the gun pointed at Jason's head.

"But I am on your side. The government has certainly seemed to have kept it's hands off on the city, but look at it this way. If it wasn't quarantined, who knows where else this plague would have spread?" The gun dissolved into Binary, and dissapeared.

((OOC note. That was the use of his channeling the matrix power to very quickly grab and throw Thomas, not some form of Telekinesis))

((OOC: He said out ON the town. As in out and about, patrolling the city, etc.))
Cregnix ducked under Thomas as he was thrown through the air, and reacted with nothing more than a raised eyebrow at the gun.
As the gun dissolved, Jason spoke.
"Riggs. You should know, I don't usually have problems with authority figures. However, I don't particularly like it when authority figures throw my friends across rooms. Computer, Mark 42 please."
Cregnix spread his arms out and armor pieces assembled around him into full Iron-Man armor. Cregnix adjusted his stance to a slightly more offensive position, legs spread out more, knees slightly bent. He also started warming up the Una Beam just in case.
"I'm also not a fan of fighting when I don't need to. Right now I could send out a call to a dozen and a half conduits and have you locked up in less than ten minutes. Depending on how fast they get here. But I won't. Riggs, no one in this city is moronic enough to go even close to that place. If there's any activity with the black tears, at least a few powerful people are deployed to make sure it is nothing. We are trying to build walls around the area, and work on a disposal method for the damn stuff. We don't need the government with its asshole agents butting in."

"I won't be going there as a Spartan. I'll just be visiting her." Thomas looked at War. "If you had a chance to see Lysander again... would you take it up, even if you felt there was little chance for him?" When he said that, one would expect a harsh expression on his face.... unless they knew Thomas. Then the kind, and slightly sad look on his face was totally normal. "Where were you, James?" Thomas then silenceds James, making it to where only Thomas could hear him. "got it," He said. and continued to grab some stuff. "Hey Cregnix. Mind I borrow one of those collapsible staffs?"
