Good Old Fashioned Team Work

The Darkness:

The Empire City sewers were never a fun place to crawl around in, despite the number of times The Darkness had forced himself to do so. He walked down the sewers, holding a flashlight to illuminate his way, with his sidekick Stygian close in tow. Well, she has hardly his sidekick anymore. She had finished her training and was basically a full-fledged vigilante now. The Darkness was proud to view her as an equal now, although he rarely showed it.
He and Julia had taken their own initiative to check out a First Sons base, in order to gather intel for their hopefully swift takedown by the mass of The Spartans, and maybe bring a few thugs in while they were at it.
As they walked, the Darkness checked his palmtop computer. They were directly under the entry point The Darkness had identified. He held his hand up, signaling for Julia to stop. Through the years the two had grown to be masters and silent communication between each other, they rarely spoke when they worked together.
 He pointed up to a nearby ladder, signaling for her to climb up it. He to climbed up the ladder, silently removing the sewer grate and looking out onto the Empire streets. It was the dead of night, and quiet.
He pulled himself up and out onto the road, and reached his hand back down into the hole to help Julia up.

Julia stalked along through the sewers, following the Darkness without hesitation. It was nice for him to finally start recognizing her as her own person, rather than as a sidekick. She was like, Nightwing, or something. Except without the goofy name. "Heh. Nightwing." She shook her head, laughing silently. She took notice of the Darkness's signals, but she wasn't really paying attention to the ladder it'd seem, and walked into it. "Ow, ow." She rubbed her forehead. "Pay attention, Stygian." She took The Darkness's hand and climbed up onto the road. Julia decided to go ahead and slightly break the silence. "So, where exactly are we infiltrating? I know it has to do with some faction, but it wasn't made clear by anyone back at the Spartan base and you pretty much just went with it. Explanation?" She crossed her arms slightly, wanting an explanation before moving further.

The Darkness:

Pulling Julia up, he said "We're examining First Son activity. They're a major threat to Empire City, as well as The Spartans. They're the only people who can reasonably match Cregnix's technology. Similar stealth teams have been deployed to a few First Son sites across the city in order to maximize effectiveness. Our missions goal is to gain as much intelligence as possible, and possibly bring back some thugs for interrogation and to put in prison, where they belong."
As The Darkness spoke, he worked on his palmtop computer, working on hacking the First Son security systems. He fed the cameras a loop of what they were currently seeing, however, since they he could only do so much from a palmtop computer, and due to the Sons advanced firewalls, they only had about two minutes for the system adapted to The Darkness's hacks and overcame them.
"We have a hundred-twenty seconds to get in undetected. Lets move."
The Darkness, knowing Julia would follow suit, darted around and dashed with his boots barely making a sound towards The First Sons structure. Already knowing their entry point, The Darkness flashed Julia three quick hand signals, he held up five fingers, than two, then made a flat gesture with is palm, a signal standing for the seventh floor.
He pulled out his grapple, a similar model to the one he had given Julia many years ago, and fired. The grapples cable looped around the small window ledge and the rope tightened, yanking The Darkness up.
As he reached the window, he quickly picked the lock and opened it. Stepping inside, he peered out the window once more, waiting for Julia to catch up with him.
