Drugged

Subject: Drugged Mon Feb 11, 2013 5:06 pm

Andre Colt approached the warehouse walking at a steady pace. Every once and awhile he would look over his shoulder, just to make sure he wasn't being followed. The warehouse that had been partly destroyed during the flood, and had been wrecked by the Veermark afterwards, had been left barely standing. Andre had a big client waiting for him inside. Every seemed to want his conduit drugs these days, but he had no idea what to expect inside.

Lilith blew smoke from her lips and closed her eyes. Hmph. This asshole sure was taking a while to get here. She leaned against the giant steel pillar of the warehouse, where she'd set up her home. Piles of crates full of bullt magazines and weapons all to her disposal. But no oxicodone or weed. This place was worthless.

Andre walked inside and swallowed a fireproof pill dry. Better safe than sorry, he thought to himself. He saw a woman smoking against the wall to his right. She was, most likely, the customer. A pile of weapons and crates lay messily in the corner. Once upon a time, Andre might have used some sort of code as to make sure he wasn't about to get busted, but no one seemed to care in New Marais anymore. "You my buyer?"

lilith turned her head, revealing her eyepatch. "I might be. Whatcha got?" Her british accent painted her words uncerimoniously as she crushed her half finished cigarette under the flat of her stilletto. Her sniper rifel as slung over her shoulder. "None of that cheap shit i hope. Ive been pushed back weaks with a nervous tick without the right type of codine'"

"I don't sell that exactly, but stuff that's similar. I've got some rather...unique items. If you have the money, of course." Andre said, holding out his palm, showing the woman the assortment of power-giving pills he had. He hated dealing with people like her, but business was business.

"Wait... you actually want money?" Lilith was taken aback. No one had actually asked her for cash since the blast. They all wanted weapons, bullets... her body... anything else as payment. She didn't have a dollar to her name. "I got sniper rifles, high quality veermark technology bombarded from their shipments... I... have everything but cash."

Andre tapped his fingers against the grip of his machete. "Look, I'm out here trying to earn a living...legally or illegally. I make the pills, I sell 'em, I buy the raw materials with the money from the sale, rinse, and repeat. I take pay either with money, some specific ingredients, or food." Andre eyed the pile of weapons by the crates, "However, I've been having some problems with the swamp creatures. It's gotten to the point where I can't light a fire without attracting them to me. If you'd help me clear them out, I'd pay you back."

Lilith grimaced. There was nothing more she despised than messy business. She tossed her stilletto heels off, knowing they'd be no good in a swamp. "Deal. You get me my shit afta' the mess though. I'm better shot from far away. Unless you's a conduit?" She slung her rifle off her shoulder to lean at it, staring at him with her single red eye.

Andre didn't like the way this woman was looking at him, "I guess you could call me that, but it's complicated...I doubt you'd understand much of the scientific parts of it. Took me years to figure out most of it." He paused, "But I prefer to fight up close. I'll get personal while you pick 'em off from a distance?"

"Sound's good to me handsome." She smirked and stood up straight, going over and cleaning her rifle, putting in a fresh magazine. "You'd be surprised. Before life went to hell A' was in graduate school studying Biochemistry and getting a Ph.D in Psychology, as well as studying the effects that certain drugs had on the human consiousness--Also known as Neurotransmitters. Especially what would most effect the cerebellum and telencephalon." She cocked her gun. "Inhibiting concious thought and movement."
She turned and looked at him. "So humor me. Are you's a conduit, or not?"

"Well, consider my wrong then, that's quite the life you had before the blast." Andre said, "I'm a half-conduit, if you wanna call it that. Half of my gene is activated, half isn't. According to genetics, I don't think that's exactly possible, but people are now runnin' around shooting lightning out of their a**, so I'm not all that surprised."

Lilith laughed, the sound of it surprising her. "Nah, before the blast i wasnt any better. I was a prostitute trying to make a living. My dream of being a neurosurgeon was dropped when some bastards kidnapped me and got me hooked on drugs so id stay on the sex market." Her look darkened before she slid more bullets into her pocket. "Im sort of a conduit too... for about 30 seconds at a time anyways. Whats your name honey?"

Andre nodded, a lot of people had it rough these days it seemed. "Name's Andre...and yours?" He said, grabbing a magazine and quickly flipping through the pages to keep his hands from shaking.

(the room is full of 'magazines,' which are what you load into guns and theyre full of bullets. Theres no paper magazines.)
Lilith noticed he was shaking and frowned in understanding. He prbably hadnt had a hit in a while, and the cleaning of the system from drugs was a real bitch. "Lilith. Fredya." She offered her hand for him to shake.

"Nice to meet you, Lilith. Now, if you'd be so kind to follow me, my cabin isn't far from here." Andre said, standing up. He eyed the guns, but shook his head, his machete worked much better for him.

Andre returned to the warehouse, Lilith close behind him. "I suppose I owe you quite a bit after that little venture, eh?" He said as she walked in.

"You's has brandy?" Liliths mouth watered at the thought. She hadn't had anything to eat or drink in days. Her stomach growled, loudly, in response and she groaned. "Don't suppose you'd have food either?"

Slender was walking through the woods of the swamps. as he did, there was a boom, boom, boom with each step. he heard voices, and teleported behind Lilith, freezing into place because Andre was looking at him. defensively, he grew his tentacles for defense. if one of them attacked, they would be in trouble.

((note, anyone looking at Mark gets their vision fuzzed up. like an old television with bad signal.))

The air around Andre seemed to get fuzzy after Lilith asked for food. "Damn drugs must not be perfect quite yet," he muttered, looking at the table. Glancing up, he quickly did a double take and about jumped out of his skin. "Mother of...am I seeing things?"
