8:30 pm, Eastern Standard time. Waterfront warehouse #7. The time and place designated for the meeting. Security was specialized but efficient: a pickup truck housing an exclusive mounted machine gun model that was much like a scoped M2 Browning with a longer barrel and pneumatic tubing to compensate for recoil, firing long DU rounds; a toggling infrared homing and laser guided MANPADS being leaned on by its wielder; and a scoped AK-74 propped over the driver's shoulder.

"I've been on duty for two days straight," the machine gunner yawned.

"Don't complain," replied the driver. "I'm on sewer patrol next week."

Austin Surge? Standing straight up two meters from the water, arms crossed behind his back. He just gazed across the vast ocean that divided him from his homeland. He missed his family and colleagues, with whom he seldom had a long-distance conversation. Kessler discourages having relationships beyond workplace partnership, which Austin had not. Maybe he could get a vacation for the winter Olympics...

When were the Spartans going to arrive? Would there be many? Other than Cregnix and Stilles, two was the maximum he was permitting. Even that was very lenient; Austin didn't trust the rebellious "superhero" as far as he could throw him, even if that was quite a ways.

(All First Sons and any two unmentioned Spartans of choice allowed. Let's still try to keep this a clean, non-violent conference, unless an agreement cannot be reached.)

Jason Cregnix:

Jason was not happy. Paying back The Sons is not something he should be doing. He was wearing a suit for Christ sake! He never wore suits!
Jason sighed as his small, armored vehicle driven by a C-Tech employee pulled up. The employee stated he was trained in hand-to-hand conflict, but he hoped it wouldn't come down to that. There was a prototype Mark 42 Iron Man armor in the back as well, which he hoped he wouldn't have to use. In case of battle, the truck was equipped with two hidden fifty caliber machine guns as well as one small land-to-land missile, enough to destroy one small civilian car, and enough to badly damage one similar armored truck.
Cregnix opened the passenger side door and stepped out into the moonlight.
"Surge." He growled, as two more C-Tech employees stepped out and opened the back of the truck, and began pulling out suitcases of money.
"Remember, we agreed no violence." Cregnix said. "As such, I am prepared to show I will not be violent myself."
As he said this, one of the C-Tech men brought him a red-orange briefcase. In the center of the case was a blue glowing power core. Cregnix reached in and detached it. he pocketed the core, and threw the case back to one of the C-Tech men.
"No more armor." he said. "In return, tell your people to lower their damn guns."

Matteo Alacran:
Matt was the second Spartan on this mission. Even though, technically, he wasn't assigned to it, as The Darkness anyways. A while back he had secured a job as a truck driver for C-Tech. His civilian persona had been assigned to this mission, and in case something went wrong, he could slip out his field-ready suit, slip into it, and get into action.

The Lich:
The Lich was also not officially assigned on to the mission. Cregnix had commissioned him, yes, but that was not for the Sons to know. There were three C-Tech employees on this mission, himself and two normal humans(as far as he could tell.). The Lich was garbed in standard C-Tech gear. Hopefully enough to throw off the Sons from his normal masked appearance.

((Buddy System!))

Mark Slender teleported into the area, and was "looking around". It was difficult as he had no eyes, but he got a good enough mental image. He sent in a mental message to Jason. when he recieved it, there would be noises like lost souls crying out in his mind. Also, a deep, yet sibilant voice would whisper "I'm available. I'll keep enough contact that I can hear your thoughts for any orders." This would be less than encouraging. The sounds of the damned would remain in Jason's head. At least the connection was faint, as that would start affecting Jason's vision as well.

Balthazaar glared at the vehicle as the Spartans exited it and his eyes, full of sickness, flashed to Cregnix. He had no idea of their relationship, but he knew that Cregnix knew of Ari's whereabouts. The last time the Spartans had seen him they were 'rescueing' HIS test subject, a conduit of darkness that had long fallen off the radar and was exactly as much of a nobody as initially considering her. That fight was a while ago.
"Where's the girl?" He asked, fighting not to grit his teeth as a maggot crawled its slimy head out of his cheek. It wouldn't be a few years until the laboratory solved his maggot issue.
