At the final moments of the Empire Festival, gas cans rained down from the sky like rain. The DUP had just formed and their first mission to prove themselves was going to be a success. Concrete cuffs were locked onto every conduit they saw. It was easy since they were scrambling like fighter jets using powers openly. They didn't even have to try to hard to find their friends. All the conduits and their affiliates were taken out of the city by helicopters and the public was in awe. These men had taken away all of these evil men with powers. "Bio-terrorists" not Conduits. They were evil.
Propaganda went up fast, Lifeline Purity was started and the public began accepting the fact that conduits were bad people. The word conduit fell out of style, replaced by Bio-Terrorist. The DUP set up checkpoints at major intersections along three major sites of conduit activity, Seattle, New Marais, and Empire city.
We are currently in a world where any sign of having a conduit gene is quickly recognized via blood tests and heavily enforced laws made by the DUP. It is impossible to get around without them seeing you on their many cameras and patrols.
Along with the DUP, civilians have taken to lynching suspected conduits and taking matters into their own hands. They used to be afraid of conduits, but now conduits fear them.
However some conduit rights activists have sprung up as well, though far and few between. They think conduits are people, and not just subhuman freaks.
Let's see how our conduits and their friends can handle living in a world made to get them locked up with a life sentence in Curdun Cay, or killed by the lynch mobs around the country.
